Woodhall Spa 40s Festival 2023
8th July - 9th July 2023After attending in a smaller capacity previous years and being impressed with the overall quality of the event and the number of crowds that the event attracts, Strictly GI approached the organisers and requested space to pull off one of our largest displays in the group's history. Stuart and team were very obliging, and have kindly agreed to allow us to use a large portion of Jubilee Park for our tented hospital display.
Our display will focus on the 128th Evacuation Hospital during the unit's time in Normandy, 1944. The 128th was the first Evacuation Hospital to land in Normandy, disembarking at 1530 hours, at Utah Beach on 10 June 1944. The impression will feature, amongst smaller details, an Operating Room, Ward, X-Ray facility and mobile Dental Clinic, all equipped with original items and vehicles.
